PAPYRUS - be gifted like a pharaoh!
Step into a time machine, as we’re going to an era 2000 years before the birth of Christ. Pharaohs rule the land which we know today as Egypt. Crops are sown after each time the Nile floods. Craftsmen and builders create objects and buildings which we still admire to this day:
The unbelievable pyramids in the middle of the desert, for example, or the wonderfully designed papyrus.This “paper” was made from a type of rush grass which grows by the Nile and is considered the forerunner of our today's paper. When you look at it more closely, you can still see the structure. The characters on it, known as hieroglyphics, were only first deciphered around 200 years ago.
If you look even more closely, you can also find the gift hidden behind these messages from another time. Unlike when opening up a burial chamber, there’s no need to worry about the revenge of the pharaohs. The eye of Horus, which appears repeatedly in amongst hieroglyphics, is an ancient Egyptian symbol providing protection and good luck.

25 years at the Toy Fair... how time flies!
Back in 1999 everything was still new and fresh. Disegno had only been going for three years. We made our first appearance at the Nuremberg Toy Fair showcasing our first wrapping paper designs “Brummel” and “Pepino”, with some simple tables as our stand as well as with a certain amount of excitement. Our big debut.
Our lovingly designed motifs, our concept, the trade fair – everything went well together. The trip to Nuremberg at the start of the year soon became an important tradition for us. Every year we would look forward to seeing our loyal customers again, as well as winning some new ones.
That’s because our extraordinary wrapping paper impresses people just as much today in the digitalised 2020s as it did in the almost completely analogue 1990s. This explains why retailers, parents, grandparents, acquaintances etc. have chosen to wrap their presents with Disegno’s high-quality wrapping paper for more than 25 years.
We look forward to meeting you at the next Toy Fair.

Christmas is here! The wonderful and splendid tree decorations lay on our wrapping paper as if it had snowed thick Christmas tree balls. The colourful Christmas gift paper MERRY XMAS has thus become a magical Christmas tree decoration itself.
